Privacy Policy

Who we are

RetroModern Baths is a design studio for the bath. This Privacy Policy covers the marketing website at retromodernbaths.com. The contract for design services is negotiated separately and is not governed by this policy.

The data controller is RetroModern Baths. For any privacy request, write to privacy@retromodernbaths.com.

The personal data we collect

We collect personal data only when you give it to us. There are two pathways:

The inquiry form at /start-your-project. When you submit the form, we collect:

• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• Location (city and state, or city and country)
• Project type
• Estimated budget range
• Timeline
• Project description
• Biggest goal for the project
• Inspiration images, if you choose to upload them
• Your confirmation that you understand a paid consultation is required
• Technical metadata associated with the submission — the timestamp, the IP address, and a basic User-Agent string, used for spam prevention and to debug a failed submission

Direct email to the studio. When you email hello@retromodernbaths.com or any other studio address, we receive what you send.

We do not run advertising, retargeting, or third-party marketing analytics on the site.

Why we hold this data, and the lawful basis

We use the data above to:

• Reply to your inquiry and to plan the consultation if one is scheduled
• Keep a record of the inquiry for our own quality control
• Prevent and investigate abuse of the form

Under GDPR and UK GDPR, the lawful bases we rely on are:

• Legitimate interest for the receipt and the reply to a business inquiry, including the basic technical metadata used to prevent abuse.
• Consent for the upload of inspiration images, which you give actively by attaching files to the form.

If you are in a jurisdiction that requires a different basis, the same data is processed for the same purposes; the basis adjusts to local law.

How long we keep it

A lead is retained for 24 months from the last contact. At the end of that period the record is anonymized or deleted. If you become a client, the contract for design services sets its own retention terms and supersedes this clause for the duration of the engagement and for the period after that the contract requires.

Inspiration images are deleted at the close of the consultation if no engagement follows, and at the close of the project if one does.

Who processes the data

We use Cloudflare as the hosting and processing surface for the website. Cloudflare delivers the site, handles the form submission, and stores the inquiry record. Cloudflare's role is that of a data processor under our instructions. Their privacy and security commitments are published at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy and cloudflare.com/trust-hub.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for site analytics. It is cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share inquiry data with any third party for any marketing purpose.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Ask us what personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct it
• Ask us to delete it
• Ask us to restrict our processing of it
• Withdraw consent for any data you gave us by consent (the inspiration images)
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest
• Lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your jurisdiction

To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@retromodernbaths.com. We will respond within thirty days. If we need more time, we will tell you that within the same window.

International transfers

The studio's principal correspondents are in North America. If your data crosses a border in the course of processing, we rely on standard contractual clauses with our processor (Cloudflare) and on Cloudflare's compliance posture for the relevant transfer mechanism.

Children

The site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under sixteen.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the Last updated date at the top of the page will change. Material changes will be reflected in the date and described in a one-line note above the Who we are section.
